About The Role
RAC are looking for an experienced and energetic Training Specialist & Quality Lead to join our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) Contact Centre Team at our iconic Bescot office in Walsall. This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week across Monday-Friday between 08:00-18:00 .
As an SMR Training Specialist, you’ll play a key role in the success of our teams by delivering thorough training and coaching. You’ll provide comprehensive support, guiding colleagues through new processes, tools, and procedures. Whether it’s implementing new packages or introducing innovative coaching techniques, you’ll ensure our teams are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.

Reporting to the SMR Contact Centre Manager, you will be responsible for acting as a role model for RAC, displaying best practice in terms of performance and behaviours.
What you’ll need…
* CIPD / TAP Qualified (or working towards it) – a commitment to professional growth is key to success in this role.
* Experience in delivering classroom-based training within a regulated environment .
* A passion for coaching and developing others – you thrive on seeing people grow and succeed.
* A positive, solution-focused attitude that brings energy and enthusiasm to every project.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, ensuring you meet deadlines and keep everything running smoothly.
* Excellent communication skills – you’re able to convey complex ideas clearly and build rapport with colleagues across all levels of the business.
* The ability to remain flexible and resilient, adapting quickly to new challenges and maintaining a calm, focused approach under pressure.

What you’ll do…
* Deliver engaging classroom-based training sessions for both new and existing colleagues, ensuring that the learning is interactive, practical, and results-driven.
* Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring to colleagues, creating an environment of continuous learning and personal growth.
* Collaborate with business leaders to identify training needs and design learning solutions that drive performance and meet regulatory requirements.
* Complete Quality Assurance assessments, providing feedback and developing training solutions to address knowledge gaps.
* Lead by example, acting as a role model for RAC, and demonstrating best practices in performance and behaviours.
* Use a range of coaching and instructional techniques to accommodate different learning styles and maximise the impact of training sessions.
* Build strong cross-functional relationships, ensuring a seamless transition from training to real-world application for all colleagues.
* Keep all training materials up to date with the latest industry standards and regulations, ensuring full compliance and relevance.
* Design and deliver training packages, utilising all available options and accommodating different learning styles.
