The trusts bring together a combined turnover of over £1bn, providing a wide range of services to a population of nearly 800,000. As one of the largest and busiest NHS Trusts in the country, PHU is a major provider of training and education and has a strong national Research and Innovation profile. IWT provides acute and ambulance services on the island, with St. Mary's Hospital in Newport being the main centre for providing emergency services.
