Job summary An exciting opportunity to take on an important leadership role within a shared commercial function operating across two NHS Trusts. Isle of Wight NHS Trust (IWT) and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust (PHU) are now working together in partnership and have forged closer connections under a single executive team to ensure the sustainability of quality services for patients. This partnership includes a single corporate service and a commercial function that provides a service across both trusts. Main duties of the job Our partnership brings huge opportunity and potential. The trusts bring together a combined turnover of over £1bn, providing a wide range of services to a population of nearly 800,000. As one of the largest and busiest NHS Trusts in the country, PHU is a major provider of training and education and has a strong national Research and Innovation profile. The Trust also has a well-earned reputation for clinical excellence in many areas. IWT provides acute and ambulance services on the island, with St. Marys Hospital in Newport being the main centre for providing emergency services.
