To prepare and serve food/snacks to the children attending the Childcare Centre.
2. Principle Accountabilities
1. Prepare food dishes and snacks as required and assist the manager in producing healthy menus, ensuring Ofsted and Government guidelines are met.
2. Organise the ordering of food and ingredients, receive and check deliveries each week, and ensure proper storage, ensuring security of stock.
3. Prepare and serve hot/cold food in the Childcare Centre for lunch times and snack times.
4. Ensure all children’s individual dietary requirements are fully met.
5. Complete stocktaking and the rotation of stock.
6. Ensure the kitchen and lunch room, equipment, and surfaces are cleaned to the required standards and log records are completed.
7. Monitor and record temperature readings of foodstuffs.
8. Attend team meetings as required.
9. Comply with all relevant policies and procedures.
10. Perform other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as required by your Line Manager.
Child protection is the responsibility of all staff. The College will therefore:
1. Encourage and maintain an environment where students feel secure, are encouraged to talk, and are listened to.
2. Ensure students know that there are staff in the College whom they can approach if they are worried.
3. Include opportunities in the curriculum for students to develop the skills they need to recognise and stay safe from abuse.
4. All staff will be required to undertake appropriate safeguarding induction and training.
