Zip Water is a prominent global provider of advanced drinking water solutions, including filtered boiling, chilled, and sparkling water.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Sales team.
The role of a Business Development Manager is to prospect and create business with new customers. You will drive Zip forward by identifying and seizing opportunities and creating ideas to continually improve performance.
What this role involves:
1. Drive delivery of both the monthly and annual sales target and build a future revenue stream via a project pipeline, based on our amazing credentials, patented technology, and after-sales care packages.
2. Create & grow new business relationships.
3. Work towards your Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and demonstrate an understanding of how you will achieve these in your 1-1 reviews.
4. Plan efficiently and organise your time to ensure you achieve expected sales outcomes.
5. Work effectively and flexibly with all other team members to meet targets across the full portfolio of products and services.
6. Maintain customer account information by recording all activity, data, and issues on the CRM system (Salesforce).
7. Work with internal teams to ensure all customer queries are resolved seamlessly by Zip.
8. Site visits and prospecting.
9. Networking - To create or join an aligned manufacturers networking group to grow contacts within the local area.
What we're looking for:
1. Negotiation skills – naturally persuades and influences customers whilst representing company interest to achieve a win.
2. Managing data – with a high level of attention to detail accurately records and maintains customer data in Salesforce and compliant with GDPR guideline.
3. Lead management – successfully nurtures and converts all leads allocated.
4. Objection Handling – handles challenges from customers e.g. competition, price to secure customer business.
5. Problem Solving – considers all potential causes and underlying causes of a problem and utilizes all available skills and resources to fix the problem and prevent future reoccurrence.
6. Utilizes modern and current prospecting methods to research customers as well as identify new opportunities e.g. LinkedIn.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, communicating in a clear and precise way to suit the audience and achieve the right results. You will understand the needs of external and internal customers, taking action and ownership to resolve problems and exceed the expectations of the customer.
You will have the confidence and the presence to present company solutions to both internal and external audiences as well as be persistent and resilient in your drive to achieve results, delivering high standards for yourself and your team.
