We want to work with the best people with the best skills and who demonstrates our values to: Be “remarkable every day” Role: Support Worker Location: Fairbourne, Gwynedd LL38 2DX Hours: Full and part-time hours available, various shifts including 24-hour sleep-in shifts 23.00-07.00 and typical day shifts are: 09.30-09.30 11.00-11.00 What you'll be doing: In this role you'll be supporting three individuals with complex health needs including medication administration, Dysphagia, Diabetes Type 1, Downs Syndrome, Dementia, Epilepsy, poor vision, Anxiety, Mental health. They have poor mobility, are wheelchair users therefore this role does involve manual handling, hoists and personal care. Let us tell you more about the three people you’ll be supporting: one individual enjoys listening to their favourite music, browsing magazines, and taking trips within the local community. They require support to maintain personal care skills and have moderate to high support needs another enjoys social activities and, while they are unable to participate physically, they appreciate being involved. They require full support with all aspects of daily care and have high support needs the third individual is independent and enjoys music, shopping, dining out, and joining local groups. They are very sociable and engage well in most activities, requiring low levels of support. You’ll bring meaningful support to their everyday lives; you’ll find this role thoroughly rewarding. You’ll encourage involvement in maintaining their homes, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, and health and safety checks. You’ll help them access their local community and participation in activities both at home and in the wider community. Your ultimate goal will be to enhance their happiness and well-being, focusing on the small, meaningful moments that bring them joy. Who we're looking for: We'd love to hear from you if you: have patience and empathy can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity have strong communication and teamwork skills are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning The ability to drive is essential for this role. You'll be required to drive the people we support around the local community.
