We are working with a global manufacturer of bespoke, high end scientific instruments supporting a range of applications including geophysics/geochemistry research, materials science and the nuclear industry.
Role:
Reporting into the Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the test reports are kept up to date alongside maintaining the technical files for their existing and new products. From a hands on perspective you will be both conducting tests in accordance with the IEC61010 / EMC to support product changes and liaising with external test laboratories.
Requirements:
-Ideally Electrically qualified to ONC/HNC level, mechanical can be considered alongside relevant experience
-Strong familiarity with electrical documentation and regulatory requirements such as Low Voltage Directive, EMC directive.
-You could be from a manufacturer of equipment, work for a consultancy or regulatory body - they are open to background
-Must have hands on testing experience (Lab based)
-If you can read mechanical drawings and use Altium/Solidworks as well, this is a bonus
-Strong attention to detail as a large majority of the role is documentation based
-Self starter and self motivated, but in the same breath not afraid to ask questions as there will be a lot to learn in relation to their specific equipment
