We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our engineering team in Leonardo Helicopters Division in Yeovil.

What you will do as a Project Engineer:
1. Deliver specific engineering milestones/projects supporting in-service contracts.
2. Plan tasks according to engineering methodologies, defining scope, schedule, and budget, including preparing engineering proposals and technical reports.
3. Manage the Systems Engineering process from requirements capture to customer acceptance.
4. Coordinate technical efforts on UK Military aircraft projects, liaising across engineering functions and making product-level technical decisions.
5. Represent the Project Engineering team in multi-functional project teams.
6. Maintain design documentation to meet company and customer requirements.
7. Interrogate company systems (SAP) to produce required data.
8. Provide technical interface with other directorates and external suppliers.
9. Support platform CPEs with airworthiness-related matters.
What we are looking for:
* Minimum qualification: Apprenticeship, HNC/HND/First degree or equivalent in aerospace engineering.
* Eligibility for registration as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer and membership of a relevant professional body.
* Experience in a regulated industry.
* Good knowledge of the Lynx/Wildcat platform and MAA regulations.
* Ability to work independently with external vendors and produce requirement specifications.
* Experience managing a medium/large team of engineers.
* Mentoring skills for junior engineers.
* Ability to review work critically and conduct peer reviews.
* Experience coordinating across technical disciplines is desirable.
* Strong communication skills for stakeholder collaboration and technical challenge resolution.
