Role Description:
The Solutions Manager will manage the implementation of the WinPath LIMS Solution into Trusts and other organisations within the UK and Republic of Ireland to satisfy the customer and business requirements. They will consult and assist the customer, in configuring the WinPath Software to enhance the workflow of the laboratory with Domain knowledge.
The Solutions Manager will be an instrumental element in the functional development of the WinPath Product, whilst keeping abreast of ongoing and future Laboratory regulations, working practices, products, and technologies within the pathology discipline.
Responsibilities:
1. Understand, comply and develop with customer and Clinisys procedures, working practices and directives in a timely manner.
2. Understand our customers’ workflows, advise and assist with Clinisys products and configuration to facilitate these needs.
3. Be fully conversant with the functionality of the Pathology product of your discipline and the functionality of Pathology products.
4. Assist Project Managers with the implementation; that will include time management, resource planning and working with Trust or Customer IT representatives.
5. Comprehend the customers’ requirements as specified in the PID (Project Initiation Document) and the design document presented at the Sales stage.
6. Continual customer engagement to promote:
* System Design
* System Build
* System Test
* System Validation
* Service Transition
1. Make recommendations based on customer feedback with regards to software changes and enhancements.
2. Assist with demonstrations/presentations/bid documents for the Sales and Marketing team.
3. Deliver relevant courses for key users of pathology, as required.
4. Be responsive to reasonable requests from your line manager or Project Managers.
5. Assessment and maintenance of Quality Assurance during Projects and Early Life Support.
6. Ensure Quality Assurance of on-going implementations via internal support of Service where appropriate.
7. To comply with the Clinisys codes of conduct and guidelines.
8. Support of Domain and Domain Product Specialists; including, but not limited to:
* Service Support
* Product Support
* Support WinPath Master Build
* Promote the Master Build and its workflows.
* Form part of a collaborative review process for core WinPath changes. Including, but not limited to:
o Raising and assessment of Domain enhancements for current Products.
o Raising and assessment of Domain defects for current Products.
o Review of appropriate specifications for current Products.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Deep understanding and experience of Clinisys LIMS product set and how to deploy components into both datacentre and on-premises technical infrastructures.
2. Hands-on experience of:
* Web Services
* Basic oracle script writing
* Business Objects
* Rhapsody, HL7, Healthcare integration solutions and broader integration technologies/techniques
* SampleNet (and Instrument Manager)
9. Ability to create and deliver executive-level summary reports and presentations.
10. The ability to diagnose, isolate and resolve complex solution issues.
11. Strong planning and organisational skills.
12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including communicating with technical and non-technical clients and staff at all organisational levels.
13. Commercial awareness of project accounting and on-sales.
14. Experience in the UK or Ireland Health sectors.
15. Proven experience in LIMS management roles.
16. Experience in a project management environment is desirable.
17. Bachelor’s degree.
