ICT Field Services Engineer - Inside IR35:
We are seeking an ICT Field Services Engineer to join an exciting client's team on a temporary basis. You will provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support services to our people as well as maintain and improve infrastructure. You will have a background of working within a busy environment and experience in troubleshooting complex technical issues at in-depth levels, along with Cisco experience. You must have a proven track record of problem-solving from start to finish in addition to being self-motivated and working alone at times. You will also play a key role in delivering the organisation’s end-user strategy – maintaining fit for purpose technology solutions, deploying hardware, and providing first-class support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting and driving to multiple different sites.
2. End to End Management of field service jobs expediting maintenance and troubleshooting procedures across our network and server provisions; no remote work will be undertaken.
3. On-site support using Cisco.
4. Manage requests through to resolution to meet the SLA.
5. Working on projects.
6. Respond to client and system service requests and troubleshoot and fix technical faults and issues to completion.
7. Ensure the IT needs of the client are met in relation to teaching, learning, and administration.
8. Handle security and network administration tasks.
9. Perform any hardware repair and replacement.
10. Ensure equipment is installed and ready for use by end-user.
11. Co-ordinate on-site cabling and hardware installation duties, working with Core Network to ensure hardware is correctly deployed and connectivity is tested and reachable remotely.
12. Survey shop premises for Wi-Fi & 4G coverage and capture other vital information required for the planning of future deployments of associated hardware and cabling for projects.
13. Perform Pre-Cable and Pre-deploy duties in cases where circuits and client sites are yet to be delivered or readied by vendors.
14. Troubleshoot/Investigate and rectify circuit connection errors & circuit/hardware down scenarios while working closely with internal teams.
15. Perform hardware upgrades on legacy equipment and re-cable as instructed.
16. Keep in line with internal and client agreed SLA's surrounding time taken to deliver each ticket/site deployment dependent on geographical location.
Essential Experience in the following is required:
1. Project work.
2. 1st-3rd line Support.
3. Network and Cabling.
4. Cisco.
5. O/S support and Deployments.
6. Office 365 and 365 admin including Intune.
7. VMware virtualization.
8. Troubleshooting.
You will need to be able to drive (hold a valid UK driving licence) and have your own vehicle. Business insurance will be required for this role.
