Job Opportunity: Quality Engineer (or Quality Inspector Progression) Are you an experienced Quality Inspector looking to step into a Quality Engineer role? We have the perfect opportunity for you Role Purpose: The Quality Engineer will ensure the quality and safety of products and processes through the application of Quality Systems and activities, helping meet the company’s business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Lead investigations into customer and internal quality issues, implementing corrective actions using the 8D process. Provide quality engineering support across production cells. Manage MRB activities in production and Goods Inwards. Support customer RMA processes and assist in preparing PPAP and FAIR reports. Assist in maintaining ISO9001 and ISO13485 quality management standards, including internal audits. Contribute to supplier quality assurance and support new product introduction activities. Essential Experience & Skills: Background in manufacturing within a quality department. Proficiency in ISO9001 QMS and working with external suppliers. Strong problem-solving skills (8D, fishbone, 5Whys, etc.). Practical experience in PFMEA, Process Maps, and Quality Control Plans. Proficient in MS Excel and ICT-based software. Ability to interpret technical drawings, measurements, and tolerances. Significant Advantages: Experience in electronic manufacturing, especially PCB. ISO14001, ISO13485, and ISO27001 familiarity. Lead ISO 9001 auditor or Six-sigma green belt certification. Experience in lean manufacturing. Qualifications: College-level qualifications in a relevant subject (A-levels, BTEC, C&G, NVQ). Preferably a degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field.
