We have an exciting new opportunity to join the Service Support Engineering Team as a Service Support Mechanical Engineer.
As an experienced Fabricator and Machinist, you will reproduce items or parts to a pattern or from a drawing to assist with the repair of company vehicles. This may also include non-bus items such as lifting frames, tools, and drifts.
Keeping a safe environment with good housekeeping, you will safely operate various power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment, calibrating, maintaining, and completing pre-use checks as required.
You will be required to keep up-to-date patterns, records, and logs. You will attend training sessions and assist in company training sessions to ensure everyone in the team has the correct knowledge and skill base.
What you will need…
1. NVQ level 3 or equivalent relevant experience in mechanical engineering or fabrication.
2. Proven experience working with and operating industrial equipment such as: Center Lathe, Radial Drill, Milling Machine, Band Saws, along with other common machine shop equipment.
3. Knowledge of automotive engineering and the PCV industry (preferred).
4. Valid Full UK driving licence.
