Assistant to SENCO
Pay Range: Local Government Scale 7
Actual Salary from: £27,289 – £30,273 (Points 19-24)
Start Date: January 2025
The Role
We are seeking an outstanding individual to provide the SENCO with a high quality administrative support service, delivering a front line, efficient and effective service to students, parents, staff and external agencies.
* This post is 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (Term Time, plus Non-pupil days and 2 weeks during school closure periods)

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Through individual plans, pupil passports etc. guide teaching staff in how to meet the needs of individual pupils.
* Support the identification of effective interventions for specific additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia).
* Contribute to the monitoring of effective interventions through maintaining the School's provision map.
* Liaise with other schools to ensure continuity of support and learning when transferring SEND pupils.

We're looking for you if you have:
* 5 GCSE or equivalents including English and Maths and excellent IT skills.
* Team management/Staff development responsibility
* Is adaptable, receptive to new ideas and willing to adjust to new demands and circumstances
* Strong interpersonal skills, co-operates and works well with others in pursuit of team goals, sharing information and supporting others
