We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school, supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). Essential Requirements At least 3 months experience working with SEN, preferably in a school setting or other relevant environment. Proven experience supporting children with PMLD, including those with complex needs and disabilities. In-depth knowledge of SEND best practices, including structured learning strategies and sensory regulation techniques. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have: A patient, calm, and empathetic approach, with a passion for working in a specialist education setting. Excellent communication and behaviour management skills, with the ability to adapt to individual student needs. The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create an inclusive and supportive environment. Role Details Location: Croydon Days: Monday to Friday Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 Pay: £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP Responsibilities Provide tailored support to students with PMLD in both classroom and one-to-one settings. Assist with communication, sensory regulation, and emotional support. Implement structured learning strategies to promote engagement and independence.
