We have a fantastic opportunity available to join the team as a skilled Deputy Catering Manager.
Farnborough International is the go-to destination and organisation for the pioneers of today and tomorrow, famous for delivering world-class air shows and events.
As Deputy Catering Manager, you will oversee all aspects of catering operations daily, managing multiple outlets across the venue. You will also support a wide range of hospitality events and conferences.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Complete accurate forecasting and reporting of financial data, adhering to deadlines, and consulting with the Catering Manager on suggestions to improve profitability.
2. Implement and manage health and safety, fire safety policies, procedures, and arrangements relevant to your work activities and environment, ensuring staff are trained and compliant.
3. Proactively manage resources, including controlling the temporary labour budget, and respond to business changes.
4. Manage, train, and develop colleagues to deliver current and future business activities.
5. Deputise for the Catering Manager in their absence.
6. Ensure standards are met and exceeded to satisfy customer expectations.
7. Handle complaints effectively by investigating and liaising with customers and staff to determine necessary actions.
8. Demonstrate strong leadership to motivate staff and maintain high team morale.
9. Assign duties and responsibilities to team members.
10. Train staff in all role aspects, recognizing training needs and providing hands-on support.
11. Supervise temporary staff, including development, disciplinary issues, and managing absenteeism.
12. Ensure pre-booked goods and services are delivered to customer satisfaction.
13. Control the temporary labour budget.
14. Participate in sales meetings to identify opportunities for new retail and hospitality concepts.
Skills and Experience Needed:
* Experience in a multi-faceted catering retail environment or in a Junior Manager role.
* Ability to work under pressure with excellent customer service and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good verbal and written communication skills.
