Equipment Engineer
Chelmsford
A global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance systems and components is seeking an Equipment Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment.
Key Accountabilities - Equipment Engineer
1. Project work, installing new equipment and equipment modifications.
2. Providing all the necessary documentation and training to others.
3. Respond rapidly to equipment issues, ensuring that a timely repair is carried out, and clear progress updates are provided to the production teams.
4. Lead cross-functional teams within the organisation and external engineers, recording actions and minutes of meetings on the more complex issues as they arise.
5. Responsible for producing all risk assessments for all equipment.
6. Host and control contractors, reviewing their method statements and risk assessments, issuing a permit to work.
Skills and Knowledge Required – Equipment Engineer
1. Experience in a multi-disciplined role with strong electronics skills.
2. Educated with a minimum of HNC in electronics.
