As a result of this proposition we’re seeking an experienced Property and/or Casualty Senior Underwriter to join us at our Chelmsford office (Hybrid working, 3 days a week in office). Key responsibilities: Acting as a Senior Authority holder focussed on winning and retaining business of a large and complex nature Providing excellent service to our customers To build and develop successful Broker relationships To be visible in the local market, you will thrive on face to face contact with brokers and end customers To develop business relationships with key clients To achieve agreed financial and operational performance targets To collaborate strongly with other departments to achieve the Company's goals in respect of service delivery About You Outstanding technical underwriting skills in commercial property and/or casualty (ideally already at a senior level) Proven track record of dealing with large and/or complex risks Capable of leveraging data and analytics Strong leadership capabilities Excellent trading skills and a confident negotiator. Proven experience in handling large cases. Strong ability to build, develop and maintain broker relationships. Achievement orientated, able to organise own workload to meet tight deadlines and with a positive attitude. A good team player. Supportive to others with an enthusiastic and positive attitude. Confident and engaging communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence others. ACII qualified or progression towards Full working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
