We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who can work flexibly. Successful post holders will provide a telephony and reception service as well as an administrative service to all users of the Emergency Department out-of-hours. Ensuring that all calls are dealt with efficiently and in a professional manner and that information is dealt with, forwarded and recorded where appropriate, using the computer system with a high degree of accuracy. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and good data entering/keyboard skills. Training will be provided for Trakcare software. The out of hours team covers the Monday to Friday 6pm to 8am and 24/7 Saturday and Sunday and operates the following shift patterns: Weekdays 6pm to 10pm 10pm to 8am Weekends 8am to 2pm 8am to 3pm 2pm to 10pm 3pm to 9pm 3pm to 10pm 9pm to 8am 10pm to 8am For informal enquiries, please contact our team of booking hub supervisors by e-mailing Gemma.Butterfieldborders.scot.nhs.uk. Please note: As this is a part time post the salary shown will be pro rata PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept late applications so please ensure your application is submitted early NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
