Job Details
We have a permanent vacancy for an Assistant Cook in Dalgety Bay, working 20 hours per week Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 1:00pm as required on a 38-week term time contract.
Donibristle Primary School – 20 hours per week – 38-week contract
Duties within this school include preparation of food and beverages and the organisation of the service of food. Duties may include transporting and serving meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen and its equipment. Completing required paperwork including electronic returns is also part of the role.
You will earn a competitive salary of £23,783.40 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

This work is about ensuring pupils and staff are provided with meals throughout the school day during term time - covering Breakfast, Morning Break, and Lunch.
The Person
Catering Experience or a Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent is required. Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. You will also be required to attend a full day of Induction Training before starting in the post.
