Our roles can be full or part-time with a variety of shift patterns available, including weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities
* Encouraging people to live as independently as possible, while supporting them in building their life skills and achieving goals at their own pace.
* Supervise colleagues, lead team meetings, and support your peers with their performance and professional development.
* Lead support planning and act as point of contact in the absence of site leadership.
* Assist with the management of site petty cash and client funds.
* Assist and support individuals to attend medical appointments.
* Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to management and medical professionals.
* Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists.
* Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth.
* Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, and preparation of food.
Qualifications and Skills
* Previous experience in a similar setting.
* Good numeracy skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature.
* Empathy, understanding, and patience.
* Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
* Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures.
* The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges.
* Competent in verbal and written English.
* A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential.
