About the Role:
As a Site Manager, you will perform various duties to ensure the security, maintenance, and cleanliness of the school premises, including handyperson tasks and supervising cleaning staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the welfare of children and young people; serve as a keyholder responsible for the security of the premises, including locking, unlocking, and responding to alarms.
2. Identify and report building issues, perform minor repairs, and oversee maintenance tasks.
3. Assist in obtaining quotes, supervise contractors for quality and safety, and manage deliveries and storage of supplies.
4. Monitor cleaning staff and uphold cleanliness standards in all areas, including outdoor spaces, cloakrooms, and toilets.
5. Operate heating, ventilation, and lighting systems efficiently, conduct daily site inspections.
6. Manage the school minibus, including cleaning and maintenance, and assist with the upkeep of school grounds.
7. Prioritise maintenance tasks, safeguarding, health and safety, including First Aid.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience as a school Site Manager or in a similar role within an educational setting.
2. Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
3. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to implement them.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Proactive and problem-solving attitude.
6. A valid full-time driving licence.
