The Volkswagen Group UK National Learning Centre is the UK’s largest automotive training facility. Located in Milton Keynes, the centre is home to the Group’s training operations, developing our base of 26,000 retailer learners in the UK. Calex is the supplier of learning services, working in partnership with Volkswagen Group UK.
We are seeking a Learning Events and Experience Coordinator who will report directly to the Commercial Learning and Development Manager. The main purpose of the role is to ensure events, including Product Launches and Brand Inductions are planned and delivered to provide an exceptional learner experience.
The role is ideally suited to someone with a background in events who can demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills and be used to working in high pressure environments to tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities:
* To coordinate events from planning to completion
* General Administration for Events
* Administering event finances, including raising quotes, recording expenditure
* Collating and presenting feedback
* Act as the primary point of contact for events
* Coordinate internal and external stakeholders during event planning and delivery
* Coordinate subcontracted suppliers during event planning and delivery
* Organising facilities, promotional materials and training resources
* Carry out risk assessments and ensure events adhere to all health and safety requirements
* Managing and overseeing events on the day, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with employees and organising vendors
* Movement and fuelling of vehicles
* Liaising with the Brand and Communications team to create effective communications for each event
* Track event key performance areas and identify areas to improve future events
* Promote the core values so that they are live throughout the team
* Effectively communicate priorities, delivery expectations, risks and concerns to management
About you:
* Excellent written, interpersonal skills and general administration skills
* Enjoy working in a team environment but also be happy working independently using own initiative and possess the ability to prioritise and manage work load
* Possess and demonstrate a customer service ‘can-do’ ethic with a strong customer focus, overcoming obstacles to solve problems and achieve results
* Can demonstrate previous experience and success in events coordination
* Has a great deal of self-sufficiency in accomplishing their duties, working to deadlines and extreme timeframes
* Project management skills and knowledge of project management best practices
* The ability to communicate with a variety of people, of varying levels of personnel within a fast paced environment
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Office 365
* Ability to work under pressure and solve issues
* Excellent Organisational and time management Skills

* Work flexible hours to suit the business needs
* Must have a full and clean UK driving license

Salary & Benefits
£30,000 – £35,000 dependent on experience, 25 Days Paid Annual Leave. Calex Employee Benefits Package (inc. High Street Discounts, Online GP, Welfare Scheme).
Pre-employment Checks
Calex will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with any successful candidate. This includes contacting all nominated references, as well as checking candidate ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks (confirmation will be provided through the recruitment process). The nature of this role may necessitate that we undertake a DBS check.
Employment
The successful candidate will be employed by Calex UK (www.calexuk.com). Calex are a specialist automotive training provider and provide training staff and expertise including Trainers, Developers, Digital Learning Experts, and Administrators to Volkswagen Group UK. The successful candidate will join an established team, at the VWG National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes.

Place of Work
VWG National Learning Centre, Wymbush, Milton Keynes.
We currently operate hybrid working with at least 60% of time in the National Learning Centre with the opportunity to work up to 40% remotely. Time spent in the office may change.
There will also be times when it may be necessary to work from alternative locations, e.g. VWG facilities and retailers, and other sites as necessary to perform the role, including international events.
