In your new role
This role offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team supporting young people with complex needs related to their life experiences and childhood adversity.
What will you do?
* Work positively, respectfully, and empowering with young people to promote good relationships and achievements.
* Collaborate with a team to address the social, emotional, educational, and mental health needs of young people.
* Encourage young people's participation in domestic tasks to develop self-care skills.
* Write review reports, conduct risk assessments, and contribute to care plans.
* Communicate with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best interests of the young people are upheld.
What we look for
* Understanding of developmental needs and milestones of young people.
* Experience working with children and families.
* Full UK manual driving licence.
* Ability to engage positively with young people, parents/carers, and professionals.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to challenge appropriately, remain calm, and stay objective.
* HNC in Social Care, SVQ level 3 in Care, or equivalent qualification, or willingness to undertake these qualifications.

All Residential Childcare Workers must undergo a PVG check and achieve membership prior to starting. CareTech covers the cost. For England-based roles, an Enhanced DBS is also required, with costs covered by the employer.
