The Role and Candidate
The Business Development Executive will play a pivotal role in driving POP MART’s expansion across the UK and European markets. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this dynamic position is responsible for identifying new growth opportunities, managing strategic partnerships, and conducting financial forecasting to support the company's ambitious expansion strategy. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and generate revenue streams, contributing significantly to POP MART’s market penetration and growth objectives.
Responsibilities
* Identify, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships to expand market presence across Europe markets
* Proactively seek out and evaluate new business opportunities that align with POP MART’s growth strategy
* Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms with new partners and clients
* Perform accurate financial analysis and projections, developing forecasts for new business opportunities
* Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide detailed reporting on the success of business development activities
* Analyse market data to inform business strategies and decision-making processes
* Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the toy and pop culture industry
* Support the management of new store development projects, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints
* Assist the Business Development Manager in preparing comprehensive business plans and presentations for new initiatives
* Coordinate with various internal departments to ensure alignment of business development activities with overall company objectives
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
* 3+ years of client-facing experience in high-end retail industry or professional consultancy background
* Strong understanding of financial forecasting, budget management, and profitability analysis
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high efficiency
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
* Proficiency in MS Office suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and data analysis tools
Desirable but Not Essential
* Experience in the toy industry or pop culture retail sector
* Familiarity with UK and European retail landscapes
* Understanding of designer toy and collectible trends, particularly in the art toy market
* Experience in international business development and cross-cultural negotiations
