As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role providing 1:1 support for a pupil who faces barriers to learning due to behavioural challenges. Your role will involve:
* Managing behaviour and developing positive coping strategies.
* Assisting teachers in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
* Acting as a mentor and positive role model to build confidence and self-esteem.
* Liaising with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide consistent and targeted support.
We are seeking an individual who is:
* Patient, empathetic, and committed to the wellbeing of pupils.
* Skilled in building positive relationships with children.
* Resilient and calm under pressure, with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
* Experienced in working with children with behavioural needs, SEN, or mental health challenges.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
* Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate or equivalent.
