Argo Insurance invites applications for the position of Casualty Underwriting Assistant.

The Casualty Underwriting Assistant role requires a highly motivated and ambitious individual. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing analytical and administrative support, while working closely with the underwriters.

Additional Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative assistance and support our underwriters while maintaining the accuracy of data and documentation within our underwriting systems.
* Enter, maintain and prepare underwriting submissions for review.
* Prepare quotes and binders for the Underwriter review
* Provide accurate rating support utilizing pricing models for new business submissions and renewals
* Issue new business and renewal policies as instructed by the underwriting team
* Actively engaging with underwriters, internal and external contacts meeting client expectation
* Collaborate directly with corresponding business partners and our claims, accounting and legal departments while building strong relationships.
* Enforce our current service standards, updating when necessary, including our underwriting guidelines, compliance requirements and audit obligations
* Provide support and assistance on any special projects, or other department related tasks and research.
* Proactively seeking to identify and implement continuous improvements to streamline processes, procedures and systems to drive efficiency whilst promoting best practices.
Key Requirements, Skills and Competencies:
* Knowledge of insurance policy forms and regulatory requirements will be an asset
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Impeccable organizational skill with the ability to effectively handle multiple assignments
* Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and provide data in an efficient, results driven environment
* Strong customer service focus with the ability to effectively multi-task with limited direction
* Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
