This position provides support to the Principal Landscape Architect as well as the rest of the LMR department and other colleagues in the business including Operations e.g. Aggregates, Asphalt, Cement, and Concrete.
The LMR department itself provides expertise and services in the following functions:
1. landscape planning, design, habitat management, and restoration.
2. lands (estates) and planning.
3. geology, including geotechnical, hydrology, and hydrogeology.
4. land survey and drawing office.
Responsibilities include:
1. Implementing approved planning consents to ensure cost-effective and biodiverse land reclamation.
2. Ensuring the business has available permitted mineral reserves.
3. Implementing sustainability and biodiversity strategies in compliance with all necessary statutory and contractual requirements.
4. Effectively managing all land, property, reserves/resources, and assets.
5. Gaining experience across Heidelberg Materials LMR functions, developing operational, commercial, project management, and leadership skills.
6. Assisting and supporting the Principal Landscape Architect in providing landscape design and habitat management services to the Region.
7. Liaising with operational management and providing advice on landscape management and restoration issues.
8. Maintaining up-to-date cost estimates and assisting in the preparation of annual restoration budgets.
9. Advising on the implementation of restoration proposals including preparation of contract specifications and drawings.
10. Providing advice on ecological and habitat matters including protection and mitigation for protected species.
11. Instructing and managing external contractors and consultants.
12. Providing a high-quality draughting service to the LMR department using AutoCAD and other industry-standard software packages.

Entry requirements
You must have graduated in 2024 or be graduating in 2025 and expected to achieve a 2:1 in any of the following areas:
Landscape Architecture or other relevant Landscape or Environmental Science degree.
British citizenship or UK settled status.
