Infrastructure & Cloud Services are at the forefront of everything from Cloud to Networking, Data Centres to virtual servers/servers (Windows and Linux) as well as desktops, Licensing and mobile phones Every piece of infrastructure at Head office, in the stores, the warehouses, for the website or the contact centre are supported by this area. Central services such as Microsoft Azure, GSuite and GCP, file services, Citrix, Active Directory (and much more) are all provided and supported by this area. The role Technology drives what we do. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in the Instore Technology team team you’ll play a key part in this. You’ll be joining a team of task-orientated engineers that are responsible for remediating critical to low priority vulnerabilities identified by our Security tools. You’ll do this using different technologies and strategies and will have experience with: Supporting a multi-site enterprise IT environment and providing third line support of servers, workstations and peripherals A track record in developing, implementing and maintaining a resilient Windows Server infrastructure. This includes Active Directory, Site Topologies, DNS and DHCP Windows Failover Clustering experience PowerShell scripting knowledge and scripted automation experience Internet Information Services (IIS) SQL Server O/S build, software deployment and security patching using Microsoft SCCM Proactive system monitoring using Microsoft SCOM Managing Android based devices using MDM software Developing and supporting Microsoft Hyper-V clusters IT change management and configuration management processes In addition, we’re looking for you to be: Able to speak, read and write English at a level that enables you to complete your role, for example, to understand instructions and communicate effectively with stakeholders and/or other team members Experienced in effectively working in a collaborative manner in a large scale, fast paced environment within a multifunctional technical team Have a clean driving licence as this role comes with call-out requirements If problem solving is your thing, then we want to hear from you You’ll be troubleshooting automation for monthly security patching and shaping and implementing the next generation of networking infrastructure to future-proof our growth. In addition to project work, you’ll provide support to internal users, as well as working closely with other technical teams. You’ll also use your expertise and experience to help us continually improve our processes and working practices, actively enabling the department to become as efficient and effective as it can be. You’ll be doing all this from our Leicestershire Head Office on a hybrid basis.
