Job Title: Field Service Engineer - Healthcare, Medical, Dental Service Engineer
Location: Swindon Area (Covering the M4 region)
Salary: 30,000 - 40,000 basic + van + bonus & other company benefits
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Healthcare Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team in Wales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of healthcare equipment, ensuring that medical devices and systems function efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong technical background, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work independently across various healthcare facilities. The position involves traveling within Wales to provide on-site support to hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair healthcare equipment and medical devices, including imaging systems, diagnostic machines, and patient monitoring systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
- Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff on the operation and upkeep of equipment.
- Collaborate with internal teams and healthcare providers to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Conduct equipment testing and calibration to ensure performance meets manufacturer specifications and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including reports, parts used, and equipment status.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in healthcare technology and comply with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Travel regularly to healthcare facilities across Wales, responding to service calls and providing excellent customer support.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in field service engineering OR a background in Military, ideally within the healthcare or medical device industry.
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment, including its operation, installation, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards in healthcare, such as MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) and NHS requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule with frequent travel.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel across Wales.
