The Role of the Sales Manager: This is a brand-new, senior-level position created to help manage and maximise the increasing volume of sales enquiries. Reporting directly to the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth, leading the sales function, and supporting the business’s expansion plans. Key Responsibilities of the Sales Manager: * Manage incoming enquiries and oversee the full sales cycle from qualification through to closing deals. * Work closely with the quotations team to direct and drive quotation activity. * Act as a key customer point of contact, providing an efficient and professional service. * Lead, manage, and develop two existing Sales Executives within the team. * Ensure adherence to sales processes and maintain a structured and well-qualified sales pipeline. * Collaborate with the Directors to deliver against agreed revenue targets. * Attend occasional client meetings for larger or complex deals (primarily an office-based role). * Contribute to structured reporting and lead regular sales updates and pipeline reviews for the Senior Leadership Team. What We’re Looking For: * Proven background in the modular building or portable building industry. * Strong sales skills with the ability to manage and close opportunities effectively. * Deep understanding of the full sales process, from enquiry to quotation and order. * Excellent communication, leadership, and team management abilities. * Entrepreneurial, proactive, and commercially minded approach. * Ability to commute to the York office daily.
