IT Support Officer - SharePoint Migration

Contract Duration: 9+ months
Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 to 17:30, 37 hours per week with occasional weekend availability
Pay Rate: 16.26 per hour PAYE
Join our client's team on an exciting journey to the Cloud as they work to transition from their corporate file system to a M365-based infrastructure using SharePoint. Following a successful stabilisation phase, they are now moving at pace into the rollout phase, and we need a SharePoint Migration Specialist to join their dedicated ICT Project Team.
The Role:
In this role, you'll be at the heart of a critical migration effort, helping move documentation from an on-premise infrastructure to our new cloud-based environment. Working closely with team members, you will support round-the-clock migrations across various departments to ensure data accuracy, smooth access, and an effective transition. Flexibility to work out-of-hours will be crucial to help cover 24/7 migrations alongside the team, and specific details can be discussed at interview.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to execute SharePoint migrations from our current on-premise system to M365.
* Use ShareGate to perform large-scale data migrations while maintaining data integrity.
* Employ ReplaceMagic to troubleshoot and fix broken links, ensuring seamless access to documents.
* Apply basic Powershell scripting to manage and maintain the underlying systems and scripts supporting migration.
* Communicate technical details in a user-friendly way to business area representatives, building customer understanding and support for the transition.
* Approach each step with a team-oriented mindset, contributing to both straightforward tasks and the more complex challenges that arise in high-volume, data-intensive projects.
Key Skills and Experience:
* SharePoint Expertise: Solid background in SharePoint, ideally within a migration or cloud-based environment.
* Migration Tools: Experience with ShareGate or similar migration tools would be a plus.
* Problem Solving: Familiarity with ReplaceMagic or similar tools for link management and troubleshooting.
* Powershell Knowledge: Basic understanding of Powershell scripting or a willingness to learn.
* Customer-Focused Communication: Proven ability to translate technical language into a customer-friendly format.
