The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Court of Protection Solicitor to join the firm’s highly regarded Court of Protection team based in Redhill, Surrey. This role offers the chance to work within a Legal 500 ranked team, managing a caseload of complex matters, while working closely with the Department Head.
You will advise clients on all aspects of Court of Protection matters, including managing financial and property affairs, preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), drafting applications, and preparing annual reports.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters, working with high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients.
* Advise clients on property and financial affairs, prepare LPAs, and draft applications to the Court of Protection.
* Oversee annual reports, billing, and file management.
* Utilise electronic disclosure and e-disclosure platforms.
* Develop and execute strategies for high-value litigation.
* Collaborate with the head of department to deliver high-quality service.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 6 years’ PQE in Court of Protection law.
* Experience in handling complex High Court cases and Business & Property Court matters.
* Strong case management skills and the ability to work independently.
* A motivated, driven individual with excellent attention to detail and a focus on career progression.
