People Partner (Recruitment & Selection)

Job Description
1. Support the people management team in the provision of a high quality, effective and efficient customer-focused people service for all staff and stakeholders.
2. Contribute to the delivery of all related objectives contained within the service’s People Strategy, specifically in relation to recruitment, selection and retention.
3. Support the people management team to monitor and review all aspects of recruitment, selection and retention, with a view to continually improve processes and contribute to the design and implementation of appropriate interventions that are recognised as good practice and value for money.
4. Plan and manage all operational recruitment processes with support from the recruitment team and other relevant stakeholders and be responsible for ensuring each applicant receives a positive candidate experience.
5. Develop and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with colleagues, service areas, representative bodies and other stakeholders, establishing and maintaining professional credibility.
6. Provide specialist advice, guidance and assistance to line managers relating to the recruitment, selection and retention agenda as detailed within the service’s People Strategy.
7. Continually undertake research to identify innovative and best practice approaches to recruitment, selection and retention, making formal recommendations to the People Services Manager.
8. Oversee the induction/onboarding of operational employees with support from relevant stakeholders and assist with the induction/onboarding of corporate employees when required, including contributing to the review of relevant processes and associated documentation.
9. Design and deliver a rolling programme of recruitment and selection training to all relevant managers.
10. Contribute to the development and review of recruitment and retention related policies.
11. Oversee the development and maintenance of accurate people statistical data relating, providing reports and presenting trends and forecasts to management where necessary.
12. Where required, support the People Services Manager in overseeing and authorising the preparation and issue of appropriate contractual documentation in relation to appointments and staff movements.
13. Contribute to activities and initiatives relating to staff engagement and culture change with SYFR.
14. Provide cover for other People Partners (OD), covering leave and supporting their workloads where appropriate.
15. Support all other resourcing activity as and when required, particularly by acting as an assessor during recruitment and selection processes.
16. Fully participate in SYFR’s Performance Review process according to the responsibilities of the role.
17. Practice and promote SYFR’s equality and diversity and health and safety policies and conduct oneself in a manner that is consistent with SYFR’s core values at all times.
18. Ensure that risk is managed effectively within the section in accordance with corporate strategies and plans.
19. Attend as required any training courses that will contribute to the effective performance of the post holder.
20. Carry out such other duties within the department as from time to time may be required, which are commensurate with the grading of this post.
21. Be responsible for the accurate and appropriate processing of data, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures (i.e. data protection).
22. Demonstrate commitment to CPD.
