Job Duties
1. Teach courses in Constitutional Law and related courses
2. Serve as advisor to the Law Honor Society
3. Mentor and tutor students preparing to take the LSAT
4. Develop and administer internship programs
5. Develop new instructional materials, techniques, course offerings or major revisions of existing
courses
6. Actively engage in research/scholarship and grantsmanship
7. Engage in exemplary teaching
8. Collegially engage with faculty and other members of the university community
Minimum Qualifications
9. J.D. or Ph.D. in American Politics specializing in Constitutional Law and related courses. Terminal degree is required at the time of employment.
10. Experience and/or evidence of teaching and scholarly activity in one or more of the areas highlighted in the Job Description.
11. Commitment to, or evidence of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
12. Demonstrate multicultural competence including an awareness and understanding of historically disadvantaged populations and create an educational environment that affirms commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Additional Considerations
13. Experience in teaching Urban Planning and/or Urban Planning Law.
14. Experience in grantsmanship and research that is commensurate with employment at the rank of assistant professor.
15. Demonstrated experience in student advisement.
16. Experience administering internships.
17. Experience in online teaching, preferably using Blackboard.
18. Ability to teach a capstone course.
