Job Description
Job Duties:
* Provide 1:1 support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an educational setting
* Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) to support the learning and development of students
* Support students in their academic, social, and emotional growth
* Work closely with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
* Monitor and track student progress and provide feedback to the teaching staff
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Experience working with students with ASD
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education: A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of strategies to support individuals with ASD
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
* Knowledge of educational policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a special educational needs (SEN) setting
* Additional training in autism education or related field
Working Conditions:
* Work primarily in an educational environment
* Full-time hours with some flexibility required
* Potential exposure to challenging behaviours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
