You will support the classroom teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where every child can flourish. Responsibilities of Early Years Practitioner: Facilitate the development of young learners through creative and age-appropriate activities, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Provide one-to-one and group support to children, helping to enhance their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Assist in planning and implementing engaging lessons and activities that cater to varying needs and abilities. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, ensuring clear communication and trust. Promote a nurturing and secure environment that supports children’s learning and well-being. Contribute to monitoring and documenting children’s progress, ensuring accurate records are maintained. Uphold the school’s safeguarding and health and safety policies. The successful candidate will: Relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 or equivalent). Previous experience working with early years students, ideally in a mainstream school. Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. SEN experience is a bonus but not essential. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one). Why Choose GSL Education?
