Role Overview
As an Electrical Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the design, installation, and asset management of commercial solar PV and battery storage systems. You will be responsible for conducting electrical surveys, assisting the electrical designer, and ensuring optimal system performance through asset management and maintenance. Additionally, you will collaborate with sales and consultancy teams, providing technical expertise to enhance tenders and proposals.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Electrical Surveys:
* Conduct electrical surveys for commercial solar PV and battery storage projects.
* Assist the electrical designer in developing system layouts, schematics, and electrical specifications.
* Ensure compliance with UK electrical standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
Local Asset Management & Maintenance:
* Support the monitoring and maintenance of installed solar PV and battery systems.
* Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
* Implement corrective actions for system faults and inefficiencies.
Sales & Consultancy Support:
* Provide technical input for sales and consultancy teams to strengthen tenders and proposals.
* Compare electrical specifications with client requirements to ensure compliance and efficiency.
* Communicate technical explanations and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations Certificate.
* Experience: Strong background in commercial electrical work, ideally in solar PV and battery storage.
* Technical Knowledge: Expertise in electrical system design, troubleshooting, and UK compliance regulations.
* Communication Skills: Ability to effectively engage with sales teams, clients, and design engineers to provide technical insights.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
* Driving License: Full, clean UK drivers license required.
