Job Introduction
Join our dynamic Project Realisation team as a Project Engineer, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering innovative and high-quality solutions.
You will be responsible for managing the engineering details required to ensure our solutions are designed and implemented safely, cost-effectively, and in compliance with all relevant standards. From customer commitment through to implementation and handover, you’ll oversee the development of engineered solutions and verify system designs to ensure alignment with current legislation.
Main Responsibilities
* Engineering Design and Feasibility: Review operational feasibility, prepare system layouts, GA’s, and detailed design documents, ensuring compliance with BS/EN standards and regulations
* Value and Cost Management: Drive value engineering, identify added value and cost-saving opportunities and ensure solutions remain within budget
* Technical Oversight: Review equipment specifications for standardisation, analyse tender returns and develop design risk assessments to ensure legislative compliance
* Project Documentation and Support: Prepare site installation packs, H&S files, and ITT technical sections, while managing general project documentation
* Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with TGW colleagues, attend customer meetings, and contribute to design and project review sessions
* Continuous Improvement: Support process improvements, maintain knowledge of local regulations, and represent the company positively in alignment with cultural values
About You
Experience in a similar role, preferably within a Materials Handling environment
* Minimum qualification of HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering
* Highly skilled in CAD software with significant hands-on expertise
* Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel and Project
* Strong understanding of cost management and budget control
* Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team
* Detail-oriented, with the ability to adhere to precise and structured working methods
