Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional Podiatrist to join our supportive Community Podiatry team to work across West Dorset based in Dorchester. We have a unique opportunity where we are offering a fantastic development post from a Band 5 Podiatrist to an established Band 6 Specialist Podiatrist. You will join a growing service providing quality foot care to patients with "feet in need" in a community setting, working alongside our hospital diabetic foot care services. It is essential that you are HCPC registered (or due to be), can work flexibly and are a driver with access to a car for work purposes. The Community Podiatrist role is a permanent, full-time post of 37.5 hours per week however we would welcome part-time applicants with a minimum of 30 hours. Our core hours are Monday to Friday 08.30 - 16.30; flexibility around this can be discussed at interview. In return we offer a fantastic induction programme and pastoral support, and there are excellent learning and development opportunities, including an in-house programme of CPD, study days and clinical rotations, as well as regular clinical supervision, team meetings and 1:1s. Main duties of the job You will work alongside our hospital diabetic foot care services and community podiatry services The post holder will be responsible for: The assessment, diagnosing, planning and implementation of high-risk podiatric care, including ulcer management, for patients with a wide range of clinical needs. Providing education and health promotion. Providing a high-quality person-centred approach to care delivery which always considers people's safety, privacy, and dignity. Providing specialist advice to others regarding the management and care of patients/service users. Providing supervision, mentorship, training and clinical support to students, apprentices and trained practitioners.
