Job Description
We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Service Asset and Configuration (SACM) Analyst to join our dynamic team. You’ll be responsible for the monitoring and management of all IT assets, ensuring compliance, effective lifecycle management, and thorough auditing of hardware, software, and licenses. You’ll play a crucial part in optimising the Service Asset and Configuration Management process, contributing your expertise to process design and improvement initiatives, and ensuring that our IT environment operates smoothly and efficiently.
What you’ll be doing:
* Responsible for the monitoring and management of all IT assets, ensuring compliance, lifecycle management and auditing of hardware, software and licenses.
* Generate insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI to track asset utilisation, compliance, and lifecycle management metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
* Procure IT hardware in accordance with policy.
* Assist with day-to-day IT asset management activities.
* Conduct regular software compliance reviews against license obligations.
* Perform audits of the UK estate to ensure quality standards and initiate remedial actions.
* Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
* Contribute to processes and controls supporting SACM activities.
* Collaborate with teams and third parties to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
What you’ll bring:
* ITIL certification and excellent knowledge of Service, Asset and Configuration Management.
* Experience working with a CMDB and the specific business services that it supports.
* Development and management of processes and techniques.
* Good understanding and experience in ServiceNow.
* Reporting and analytical skills including Power BI.
* Knowledge of IT industry and best practices.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
* Understanding and experience of Agile Methodologies.
