Broughton House is a 29 bed specialist residential service for adults with autism who may present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care.
We are currently recruiting for an Activity Coordinator with previous experience of working with learning disabilities and autism who is confident in leading, structuring and planning activities with challenging individuals, ensuring a fun and constructive leisure time.
You will be working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm and also one Saturday every 5 weeks.
Please note you must be a car driver due to the remote village location of the home. You also need to have held your full UK driving licence for at least 2 years due to minibus insurance.
Your day-to-day...
* Develop, plan, implement & oversee activities, outings & events for the people in our care
* Provide fun & constructive leisure time, as well as appropriate physical & emotional support
* Ensure the provision of staff, space & materials for all activities
* Be responsible for driving our minibuses for external activities
* Supervise, oversee & develop colleagues
* Oversee the creation of promotional materials for events
