We are seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join an Environment & Planning team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrogeological assessments, field data collection, and project management. This position offers the opportunity to work on a range of high-profile projects across Ireland, with a focus on environmental assessments and groundwater resource management. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work from various office locations with the option of hybrid working.
Requirements:
* MSc in Hydrogeology or a related field
* Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
* Strong knowledge of Irish hydrogeology
* Proven experience in fieldwork and data collection
* Excellent report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in GIS and other relevant software tools
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and environmental planning regulations
* Ability to manage projects, including financial aspects such as fee proposals and budgeting
* Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Ireland
* Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
Responsibilities:
* Lead and participate in hydrogeological fieldwork, including data collection, drilling supervision, and test pumping
* Prepare sections of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs), hydrogeological risk assessments, and groundwater resource evaluations
* Oversee and manage hydrogeological projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
* Contribute to desktop studies, field mapping, and reporting
* Manage financial aspects of projects, including producing fee proposals and tender documents
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes
