Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our Gateshead Community Learning Disability Team. Main duties of the job We are a busy, friendly multi-disciplinary team who provide high quality assessment, formulation and intervention to adults with learning disabilities who are experiencing significant challenges in relation to their mental health, physical health and behaviours that challenge. We work alongside our MDT colleagues and partnership agencies to support the psychological wellbeing of service users and their families/carers who live in Gateshead. We provide psychological consultation, specialist assessments and a range of both direct and indirectpsychological interventions. The post holder will have a leadership role in formulations, consultation, scaffolding, supervision and training to MDT colleagues. We regularly provide teaching and training in psychological ways of working and there will be opportunities to gain experience in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical work.
