ALN Teaching Assistants
Location: Newport
Pay Rate: Starting at £83 per day
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm
Contract: Temporary, with the possibility of becoming permanent
Are you a caring and motivated individual with a passion for supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)?
We need enthusiastic teaching assistants to work in a mainstream school in Newport. The school features two dedicated class bases, designed to provide tailored support for pupils with ALN and physical needs, all within a nurturing and safe learning environment.
While previous experience working with children or young people with ALN is highly desirable, we welcome candidates from all backgrounds, including those with personal or professional experience in supporting individuals with additional learning needs. Full training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.
Your Responsibilities:
- Providing support to pupils with ALN in daily classroom activities.
- Assisting in preparing the classroom for lessons and adapting resources to meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Engaging with and supporting pupils' learning.
- Responding to situations as they arise and maintaining a caring environment that promotes pupils' physical, emotional, and social welfare.
- Providing personal care, if required.
