Brockenhurst College has an exciting opportunity for an Art Tutor to join our Adult Leisure team. You will join us on a claims basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive rate of £22.54 per hour.

Your responsibilities as our Art Tutor will include:
* Teaching on courses as agreed with the Area Organiser
* Marking registers and providing schemes of work
* Working closely with the Area Organisers, particularly with regards to the recruitment, monitoring, and progression of students
* Paying due attention to the principles of inclusive learning
* Contributing to the design, delivery and future planning and development of the curriculum
* Contributing to the teaching/learning resource bank for the relevant subject/course
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments in the relevant subject/course
* Attending relevant Enrolment/Open Events as appropriate, in consultation with the Area Organisers
* Promoting the sharing of good practice in the development of teaching methods and strategies
* Participating in the College’s Lesson Observation Scheme
* Participating in staff development and training
To become our Art Tutor, you will need:
* A professional qualification in a relevant subject area
* A successful track record of teaching adults or a desire to teach and obtain the relevant qualification
* Knowledge and understanding of current developments in the relevant curriculum area
* Knowledge of appropriate health and safety requirements
* Knowledge of appropriate methods of involving adult students in feedback on their courses
* The ability or willingness to use Information Learning Technology and other IT applications
