Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a clinic receptionist at Alder Park, which is Alder Hey's recently refurbished outpatient facility at the heart of Waterloo (close to key transport links). Working pattern: Wednesday - Friday, 08.00-18.00. Please note, flexibility is required, as there may be the requirement to alter working pattern, or work at alternative Alder Hey sites (within Liverpool / Sefton), to provide cover. Main duties of the job Receive and book in patients on arrival to appropriate departments, ensuring all patient demographic details are checked and amended on the PAS (Meditech) system. Ensure clinic outcomes are completed timely and accurately. Record "Walk in" patients as required ensuring all documentation is complete. To assist the Operational Manger with the housekeeping, including the upkeep of equipment and reporting any faults to the appropriate person/department. Manage complaints / aggressive / abusive member of the public locally if possible and advise families of the Trust's complaints procedure. Escalate to Supervisor or Operational Manager if necessary. Liaise with Operational Manager to ensure that they are aware of any potential problems. Work without direct supervision using experience and knowledge. Participate in regular staff meetings. Business Continuity Duties - Follow Policies and Protocols to ensure continued effective service provision when required. Act at all times as a responsible member of the team, showing respect and consideration for co-workers, patients and visitors.
