Our public sector client is looking at recruiting 2x PMO Analysts on 18-month Fixed Term Contracts.
Your New Role
The role of the PMO Analyst is to support the Programme Manager, the Programme steering group and the other members of the PMO. The PMO analyst will work with the workstream leader to develop the detailed schedules and plans to track the status of the workstream deliverables and milestones; supporting the adoption of the workstream lifecycle and deliverables; programme level risk and issue coordination; monitoring the status of workstreams transitioning into normal service; coordination of the regular workstream and programme level reporting cycles; co-ordination of workstream Governance arrangements, Post Workstream Reviews.
Assisting the Programme Manager with defining and updating the workstream management processes, standards and governance, assisting Workstream Sponsors and Workstream Leaders, contributing to Quality and Gateway Reviews and co-ordinating activities in support of quality objectives.
Responsibilities Include
1. Implement programme and workstream governance standards across the programme including the development of detailed schedules and plans to track, monitor and control the status of workstream and programme deliverables.
2. Manage programme and workstream level Lessons Learned repository; attend Post Workstream Review meetings to identify key areas of improvement to be captured into the Lessons Learnt repository.
3. Manage the workstreams and programme level risks and issues register.
4. Carry out assurance review processes as required by the Programme Manager.
5. Organise workshops to identify areas of improvement for workstreams, documenting recommendations and presenting them to the Programme Manager.
6. To ensure the use of data complies with current regulations, particularly those relating to GDPR.
7. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
What you will need
1. Proven experience working within a PMO role recently.
2. Solid stakeholder management and communication skills.
3. Robust experience of multiple project workstream delivery in a complex project environment with enterprise level PMO experience.
4. Demonstrable experience in maintaining multiple schedules using applications such as MS Project or Primavera, to monitor the planned completion of a workstream or project against time, cost and quality parameters. Supporting wider workstream and programme decisions, through maintaining risks, actions and issues, dependency and resource management, as well as supporting the production of workstream documentation and communication.
5. Higher Education and public sector experience is desirable.
