Production Operative / Cutting Machine Operator who has good hand eye coordination with the ability to follow standard working processes is required for a well-established company in Lowestoft, Suffolk.
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED – FULL TRAINING PROVIDED
Although no previous experience is required you will need to have a good eye for detail and good hand eye coordination skills.
SALARY: £23,810 per annum + Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Lowestoft, Suffolk

WORKING HOURS: Flexibility regarding working hours across 3 main shift patterns are required: 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 and 8:30-17:00

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Production Operative / Cutting Machine Operator who has good hand eye coordination with the ability to follow standard working processes.
Working as the Production Operative / Cutting Machine Operator you will work within a team environment to operate CAD cutting equipment to meet production schedules.
As the Production Operative / Cutting Machine Operator you will also work alongside your team to maintain quality standards and carry out daily checks, cleaning and basic maintenance to the machines.

DUTIES
1. You will work closely with your colleagues to maintain workflow and minimise WIP.
2. Committed to delivering best-in-class services to customers, you’ll attend training and development relevant to your job role and scope.
3. Responsive to the needs of the team and the business, you strive for excellence in your work and deliver solutions to problems that will help exceed the expectations of customers every day.
4. Advise and ensure all other interested and affected parties are aware of any scheduling issues such as machinery breakdown or rework in order to replan.
5. Alongside your colleagues, you will ensure standards are maintained by quality checking and daily cleaning and maintenance.
6. You will operate in accordance with 5s principles on a daily basis. In addition, you will work proactively to ensure waste disposal is accurately undertaken in line with the Company strategy.
7. You will be responsible for your own and that of your colleagues Health & Safety in accordance with company guidelines and procedures. This would include an awareness and knowledge of personal PPE equipment.
8. Throughout your work, you’ll seek opportunities to develop system and process improvements; leading to efficiencies and/or greater levels of service that will contribute to our customer’s experience.
