Philip Southcote School is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide focused support and care to students, working closely with Teachers and Senior Leaders to enhance academic achievement and foster independent learning. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the well-being and inclusion of all students, while promoting the values and ethos of our school community.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will collaborate with the responsible Teacher to support the learning of individual students and groups. Your duties will include preparing and delivering targeted intervention programmes, promoting the social and emotional development of students, and supervising break and lunchtimes.
In addition to supporting Teachers, you will follow teaching plans, prepare learning materials, and monitor and evaluate student responses to learning activities. You will provide accurate feedback on student progress, maintain records, and assist in marking student work and invigilating assessments. By fostering home-school partnerships and adhering to the school’s behaviour policy, you will help manage behaviour constructively and encourage student independence.
