The Learning Consultancy Manager will be working collaboratively with stakeholders, managing the full annual learning process across all ScottishPower businesses including identification of training needs, prioritisation and approval of business requirements at Governance groups, oversight of the delivery of training plans within overall £2.3m external services budget.
This role will take ownership of the design & refresh of all SP trainee and graduate programmes working collaboratively with business stakeholders, SME’s and Early Careers Manager to ensure programmes deliver identified business skill requirements.
Partnering with Senior Managers, HR Business Partners, and others to manage and deliver Learning and HR projects, either individually or through the team, through strong consultation, influencing and data analytics skills, driving improved individual and business performance.
What you'll be doing
* Lead a team of Learning Consultants on a day-to-day basis, ensuring priorities support business deliverables and are managed and delivered with agility.
* Lead the annual training plan process managing and influencing a wide range of stakeholders across all customer groups in ScottishPower ensuring prioritisation and decision making within process timelines, accurate reporting against delivery of plan and budget.
* Provide support to the Head of Org Capability in managing the external services budget of c.£2.5m on a day-to-day basis, ensuring adherence to Purchasing and P&G processes and timelines.
* Lead the team in the design and refresh of identified trainee and graduate requirements, partnering with business stakeholders and SME’s to determine skills requirements and develop meaningful programmes to deliver these as outputs.
* Support the team in the scoping of requests for new learning solutions from customers directly, or as identified through TNA and Trainee programme development ensuring appropriate solutions are identified, designed or procured, implemented, embedded and evaluated.
* Oversee the delivery of all approved training plans, including all non-engineering-based trainee and graduate programmes, ensuring governance around process, KPI’s set and achieved.
What you'll bring
* Well-developed consultancy skills and experience of learning consulting in a corporate organisation with senior management, including analytical and diagnostic ability.
* Strong budget management and governance knowledge and skills.
* Demonstrable skills in relation to developing skill matrices and undertaking training needs analysis.
* Skills and knowledge relating to developing trainee and graduate programmes to ensure skill requirements are met as outputs.
* Knowledge of current and developing trends in L&D to provide up to date, cost effective solutions to achieve added value/return on investment.
* Experience of project management, change management and working with agility across multiple priorities and changing parameters.
* Sound knowledge of learning best practice and current trends.
