We are seeking consultants with enthusiasm, commitment and drive to work closely with colleagues throughout the organisation and within the community to help lead the organisation.
The post has arisen as a consequence of an expansion in Head and Neck imaging service. The successful candidates will join a team of 28 radiologists to help deliver Diagnostic Imaging Services to the Trust and local commissioners. The candidates are required to have a subspecialty interest in Head and Neck imaging and associated intervention
Main duties of the job
1. Fully participate in the provision of Head & Neck imaging and intervention
2. Maintenance of high quality patient centred care
3. Shared responsibility for the day to day management of the service and participation in strategic planning
4. Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
5. Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activity
6. Active participation in continuing medical education

Qualifications / Training
Essential
11. Entry on GMC Specialist Register or, be within 6 months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at time of interview or, provide GMC confirmed eligibility for entry on the Specialist Register
12. Hold a current licence to practice from the GMC.
13. FRCPath or equivalent
Desirable
14. Postgraduate degree (or equivalent)
15. Royal College Fellowship
Previous Experience
Essential
16. Higher subspecialty training in Head & Neck radiology preferably with tertiary centre experience
17. Diagnostic ultrasound, FNA and biopsy of neck and thyroid masses
18. Experience in salivary intervention.
19. General plain x-ray and CT reporting for general and on-call
20. Can evidence leading on patient safety issues and achieving a change in practice
Desirable
21. Reporting of cross sectional imaging (CT and MRI)
22. Interest in Stroke Imaging

23. Able to evidence engagement with clinical governance and the identification of errors and the learning from errors.
